Typewritten notes regarding the Pootatuck Indian village in Shelton, Connecticut. About 200 circular firepits were excavated, many of them floored with large rocks or even boulders.
Many short bone awls, two fine large grip awls, a bone arrowhead, a horn handle, a bear's tooth pendant, a panther's tooth with a groove in it , a sturgeon scale scraper, a fish bone head, fragments of turtle shell cups, stone war blub heads, six crude portable stone morters and over two hundred arrowheads were recovered from the site.
