Williams Haynes's booklet in 1957, "Horseshoe Nails to Squeeze Bottles", outlines some of the changes to the old Monsanto plant in Stonington before the tragic fire of July 3rd and the Stonington Historical Society in its "Historical Footnotes" has also preserved facts not easily found elsewhere about this site which was home to many different businesses and plants.
