Photocopy of a newspaper article about a planned march by the Boy Scouts to Fort Shantok on June 8, 1935. Talks about the Connecticut Path, an Indian path that starts in Woodstock, Eastford, Ashford and Willington and follows to Killingly. At Norwich is the royal burial grounds for the Mohegan Indians, and the monument to Uncas. At Norwich is a monument to Miantonomo, sachem of the Narragansett Indians. At Norwich Town is the monument to Major John Mason, the leader of the colonial forces in the Pequot War. On the date of the pilgrimage, various Boy Scout troups will be designated as different tribes. The Nipmucks, Narragansetts, Quinebaugs, Wabbaquassets, Mehantics and Mohegans will be represented.
