Photocopy of newspaper article about a fire that destroyed the Mohegan Hill house of John W. Quidgeon and family on April 27, 1935. The fire was discovered by neighbors and of undetermined origen.The firemen concentrated on saving the Tantaquidgeon lodge and museum, as well as fight a brush fire. Mr. and Mrs. Quidgeon, along with Mrs. Gertrude Harris, age 85 and an invalid, were taken in by relatives.
