Title:
The Pilgrim–Indian Thanksgiving
Date:
ND
Scope & Content:
Typewritten paper concerning thanksgiving festival with the Indians.
Pilgrims had held many harvest and Thanksgiving festivals in Europe and Indians had a festival of thanksgiving at harvest time.
Shortly after the arrival of the "Mayflower" in America we find the Pilgrims and the Indians helping each other, and in the fall of 1621 when the harvest was in, meeting together that they "might after a more special manner rejoice together, after they had gathered the fruit of their labors."
