Typewritten article decribing types of sandals worn by the southwestern Indians. As sandals are perishable objects they are found only in regions where condition favorable to preservation have prevailed. Thus an abundance of material for one periiod and a paucity of material for another does not always reflect the culture of a people, but frequently reather is only a reflection of the conditions under which a people lived, i.e. whether in a sheltered place or in the open.
