Mimeographed trascription of a letter from William Pynchon to John Winthrop. Pynchon is pleased with the peace efforts between the Mohegans and Narragansetts. The Mohegans believe the Narragansett sachem will keep his word, but believe the Niantic sachem will start war in the spring. Pynchon discusses the case of Mary Lewis, who is married to a Catholic, but separated for seven years. She would like permission to marry a bricklayer in town and Pynchon asks Winthrop for his guidance.
