Summary:
For perhaps nearly a century, the old schoolhouse at Burnett's Corner (Old Mystic Western suburb), stood on the eastern corner of the Mystic road just where four roads meet, one of the other three going back to Old Mystic, the northern one up to Quackertown, and the western one on to New London. The removal of the building some months ago to a spot considerably west and beyond the former store of George Packer leaves a gap and impacts an unfinished appearence to the Corners.
