Summary:
It's hard to say when the Elks' Boys Band, which was not a marching band, ceased to exist, but it is assumed it was probably suspended during World War II. The Elks Lodge provided the uniforms for the New London concert band which gave three or four concerts a year. The band played concerts at the lodge, sometimes aboard an Orient Point steamer and once at the Lyceum Theater.
