Typewritten page regarding conservation. The Indians realized the importance of conservation and lived by certain unwritten laws. They never killed animals that were carrying young, unless in the case of dire necessity, knowing that to destory the seed would reduce the stock for another year. They replenished the earth by using a fielld for only three years then let it lie fallow. The used the land but left it a pleasant place for man to live.
