Mimeographed transcription of a letter written by Richard Bellingham, governor of Massachusetts, to John WInthrop, governor of Connecticut. Bellingham talks about Mohawk raids on praying indians, killing and taking captives. He worries that the Mohawks will begin attacking English towns. Bellingham also tells about an Indian squaw who was captured by three men. She asserts that one of Uncas' men was with two Mohawks. Upon her escape, she heard the man speaking the Mohegan language.
