Scope & Content:
Mimeograph transcription of a letter to Gov. Winthrop concerning the persual of enemy Indians who have murdered and taken captive several English people. Avery claims that a scouting party he sent out got so close to the Indians that they could hear them calling out to them. But, the English were unable to definitely locate the enemy. Avery has been told that they will soon march to Norigawak, the enemies headquarters. He points out that his own Indian scouts are very weary and long to be home.
