Mimeograph transcription of the announcement from John Mason and Joseph Stanton that William Whiting and John Eliot were a part of the land deed transaction that took place between the white men and the Mohegans on May 3, 1714, despite the Mohegans' claim to the contrary. The Mohegans claim that Whiting and Eliot were not a part of the original deed proceedings. However, Mason and Stanton claim that they were and that the land should be divided into sevenths, instead of fourths.
