Photocopy of typed transcript by Mohegan tribe asserting their right to name Ben Uncas Junior sachem . Tribe states that John Mason is trying to have Yeoman alias Mahomet made sachem. Mahomet is the child by concubine of Mahomet, the son of Owaneco. By royal blood tradition, Yeoman was not worthy to be sachem, and was not even recognized as the son of Mahomet. The Mohegans outline the succession: Owaneco, Cesar, Ben Uncas to Ben Uncas Junior.
