Mimeograph transcription of a letter to the Assembly of the State of Connecticut concerning the hard times that the Mohegans have fallen on. Harry describes the life that the Mohegans led before the whites came; a life full of peace, love and great harmony. The Indians would fish, hunt and scavenge for fruit and nuts at their leisure. There were no land disputes and everything was equally shared. Now there are no bear and fowl to hunt, no fish to catch, and no fruit to pick. The Mohegans call on the government to help them in their time of need. Many of their tribe are starving because of the unscrupulous actions of a few and they need the white men's help in getting the tribe to be whole again.
