Mimeograph transcription of the inscription on four grave stones: of Sam Uncas, second son of John Uncas and grandson of Uncas, died July 31 1741 at age 28; of Ann Aucom, daughter of Ben Uncas, died March 1737 at age 19; of Elizabeth Uncas, daughter of Taumaug and Ann Uncas, great grandchild of the first Uncas of Mohegan, died November 1741at age 19; of Pompi Uncas, son of Benjamin and Ann Uncas, died May 31 1740 at age 21.
On the foot stone of Samuel Uncas is a poem that about his life ending with "...whose death has caused great lamentaion both is ye English and Indian Nation." Copies by Ezra Stiles from grave stones.
