Mimeograph transcription of a letter written regarding Indian education. Capt. Mason, the instructor of the Indians has taken some of his students to Rev. Lord and Rev. Adams to allow them to access the students progress. Rev. Lord is amazed of the Indians progress, especially since they have been in the English School for but 18 months. The Indians spelled words correctly and gel readily into the English tone and pronunciatlon. If kept to their learning, Rev. Lord felt that the Indians could come into a good knowledge of religion and good skill in the English language. Rev. Lord felt that it would serve the government well to assist the Indians in their education, especially since the Indians live amongst them.
