Newspaper article reporting that the remnants of the Mohegan tribe are suing for return of land in Norwich, Connecticut. Explains that Sachem Street in Norwich was the burial ground for the tribe and includes the grave of Uncas. A hearing was held befor the judiciary committee to arbitrate the case. The Indians claimed special exemption rights, the ability to sue in state courts. Their attorney, F.W. Morrison, requested that the defense not use the statue of limitations.
