Scope & Content:
Mimeograph transcription of an agreement between Uncas and the Court of Connecticut. Uncas promises to do no harm to the English, to take the advice of the General Court if his people are to go to war with another Indian tribe, and to assist the English if they go to war with a foreign or internal enemy. He asks that his son Owaneco and his grandson Josiah be included in this league of amity. The English promise to give equal justice to the Mohegans, to always allow them enough land for their subsistence, and to furnish the Mohegans with ammunition if they are unjustly attacked by foreign enemies or other Indians.
