Scope & Content:
Colonial records regarding clothing regulations. Excess apparel amongst us is unbecoming. No one shall wear gold or silver lace or buttons, silk ribbons, or other superfluous trimings. Town list makers are hereby required to assess offending persons in the List of Estates at one hundred and fifty pound estate. Taylors are also subject to fines for fashioning improper articles of clothing.
