Scope & Content:
Mimeograph transcription of a letter to F–J WInthrop concerning the movements of enemy Indians. Witherell informs the Governor that the Pequots and Mohegans have marched under the command of Capt. Livingston in order to find the enemy's trail. However, it has come to the attention of Witherell and his men that the Indians might try to travel by canoe, thus leaving little means to track them. Witherell also mentions the report of a young woman murdered and 4 children carried off by the Indians when they attacked Oxford.
