Mimeograph transcription of a letter from Ben concerning the questionable actions of a man whom the Mason Indians leased a house to. Ben says that this Mr. Champlin makes exhortations against the Connecticut government and that he steals the Mohegans' wood and sells it as his own. Uncas does not ask for help but does say that the "Mason Indians does what they please", implying that they are not inclined to throw Mr. Champlin off the land.
