Scope & Content:
Photocopy of published assembly records regarding the investigation into indian behavior that is upsetting white settlers. The English were concerned because the Mohegan indians under Ben Uncas built a fort and purchased three barrels of gun powder. The indians were questioned and they stated that they were fortifiying against the Mohawks. The Pequot and Niantic indians were also questioned and denied any indian hostilities.
