A mimeograph transcription of a letter from Winthrop to his brother–in–law pertaining to the supposed "cessation of armes betweene the Uplanders and Uncas for present". The Englishmen do not understand this peace between the Indians, noting only that many sachems of other tribes make tribute to Uncas and form a league with him.
