Title:
Letter from Gladys Tantaquidgeon to Carol
Date:
October 25, 1982
Scope & Content:
Handwritten letter by Gladys Tantaquidgeon to Carol thanking her and Kay for a too short visit. Gladys says that Amy Cooper was born between 1825–1845 and was the daughter of Lucy Brushel Pease (Peters) and David Cooper. Amy had four children named John Cooper, Alonzo Saunders, Theodore Cooper and Effie Cooper. John Cooper was brought up by William and Fidelia Hascoat Fielding. Gladys did not have Amy Cooper's date of death. Gladys offers a print of "Uncas" or " Indian Leap" at Falls. Gladys states that Harold (Tantaquidgeon) has been ill and is just beginning to take some food. Harold seems slightly improved. Postscript says that Gladys is sorry to have missed the birthday tribut to Mary Virginia (Goodman.)
