Mimeographed transcription of the records of the United Colonies regarding the conflict between the Mohegans and the Narragansetts, resulting in the execution of Miantinomi by Uncas. The Narragansetts claim that ransom was paid for Miantinomi's release; that Uncas' claims of death attempts were faked; that the Mohegans were the aggressors. The colonists concluded that no ransom was paid and forced the two tribes to agree to a peace treaty. Three hundred militia troops were raised in response to Narragansett aggression.
