Writ of attachment on goods of Jonathan Williams, to value of 8.0.9 pounds, to satisfy Stephen Hurlbut who had recovered judgment against him, signed by William Avery, J.P., Groton, Aug. 25, 1769. On reverse Hutchinson Sholes, Dep. Sher. states he attached land. Separate sheet with choice of two appraisers by the two parties, namely, Capt. Asa Avery, Capt. Joseph Starr, 3rd appointed by Luke Perkins, J.P. was Obadiah Bailey. Appraisers measured out land of Jonathan Williams to the aforesaid value, in execution of the judgment, Oct. 21, 1769. Two pieces. Writ 5 1/2" x 6 1/2". Appraiser statement, 13 1/2" x 9".
