Yesterday Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin P. Hewitt of Church street celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary having been married at Old Mystic Feb. 28, 1872, by the Rev. Palmer G. Wightman, who was pastor of the First Groton Baptist church at that time. In observance of their anniversary they were entertained at a dinner party at the home of their son and daughter in law, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin H. Hewitt, 7 West Mystic avenue.
