Summary:
All kinds of traffic are moving on the Barge Canal this season. The most unusual cargo carried, however, just passwed down the Champlain Division to New York. It was a cargo of live eels, shipped from Quebec, Canada, by The Live Fish Boat Company for export. The eels measured from four to eight inches in circumference and were carried in a small self-propelled barge. If the experiment proves satisfactory, it is understood a regular trade will be carried on hereafter.
