Summary:
Thomas Bordner becomes the fifth owner of the Old Mystic General Store. The stores original purpose was to serve old Hyde Bros. cotton mill. The building also housed, and continues to house, the Old Mystic Post Office. The building itself was built without nails using a truss system. It originally had three stories but the upper floor was destroyed by fire at the turn of the century.
