Summary:
Fort Hill, Groton, was once the location of a small building memorial to the fort and village of the Pequot leader Sassacus. It was erected by the Fort Hill Hinidan Historical Association in 1935 under the leadership of Eva L. Butler. A plaque now marks where the building once stood and some of the building's artifacts are now housed at ICRC in Old Mystic.
