Summary:
After a lawsuit against the tribe the previous year, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe announced that they are considering establishing a judicial system complete with a tribal court as one of the options for settling disputes. The tribe said that they have a need to settle internal disputes as well as claims against them. The lawyer for the couple who sued the tribe seemed to be content with the idea of a tribal court since it would offer a place for people like his clients to settle suits against the tribe.
