Summary:
A historic marker designates a site off Route 85, just past Salem Four Corners where Music Vale Seminary once trained young women to teach and perform music. Orramel Whittlesey, John Bodman's great-great grandfather, founded the school in 1835. The old burying ground called Moss Wood contains the grave of Orramel.
