Summary:
Started in 1849 with a wooden building and replaced by a brick structure in 1910, Mystic Academy still exists as part of the brick Academy Point retirement community at the head of Bank Street in Mystic. Carol Kimball once taught at the school and has many fond memories. It was Eva Butler who helped Carol learn Groton history.
