The state Department of Transportation is looking for people interested in moving the 1781 Haley House to make way for a wider Route 117 in Center Groton, CT.It must be moved by April 10, 1985. The Haley House, a former tavern, inn, and stagecoach stop, is part of the the Center Groton Historic District, and sits at the intersection of Routes 117 and 184, the former Boston Post Road, one of three original mail routes between New York City and Boston.
