Summary:
A patent to Samuel Bartlett of East Windsor and signed by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison was recently re-discovered in the vault of the East Windsor Town Hall. The patent was for the "rolling tub mill." The document had been purchased for the East Windsor Historical Society by Harold Ellsworth from the estate of a descendant of Bartlett, and it's current [1987] estimated value is $30,000.
