Summary:
The First Congregational (Road) church of Stonington, observed its 250th anniversary Sunday afternoon and the historic edifice was filled to overflowing, many being unable to gain attendance. The church was decorated with flowers for the occasion and three were given by Mrs. W. Liance Cottrell and Mrs. H.C. Cornwall in memory of their ancestors who were members in its early days.
