Summary:
Carol Kimball recalls relatives from New York and fun on the fourth of July celebrations in years past. Visitors included Uncle Paul and his daughters Dorothea and Mabel, Great Aunt Bertha and her son Huie. There was also cousin Isabel Euell who was just her age and who had danced on the stage in New York. Mr Ginsberg's store supplied the fireworks. Her Aunt May Gracey, who lived on the cove at Best View with Uncle Roy invited all for a picnic and for swimming and boating. There was Aunt May's clear clam chowder, Aunt Pearl's lobster salad, Aunt Ethel's potato salad, Uncle Roy's fresh peas and her mother's lemon meringue pie and Aunt Ethel's Devil's food cake.
