The five-masted Jennie R. Dubois (wife of Rhode Island Judge E.C. Dubois) was the largest vessel ever built on the Mystic River above Noank…launched at West Mystic Feb. 11, 1902…built at Oldfield Shipyard…Master builder W. A. Hodgkins of Bath, Maine directed the laying of the keel…claimed to be the first five master built in Connecticut. The steamer's life was a short one, reported sinking in 1903.
