Summary:
Although alcohol is prohibited on the Navajo Indian reservation, Navajo police recently surveyed a quarter-mile radius around their offices and discovered 19 bootleggers. Tribal members are known to visit these establishments, immediately drink their purchases, and leave inebriated. Local opinion is split as to whether or not to repeal the prohibition.
