Summary:
Carol Kimball recalls her fondness for many childhood stories with a special fondness for the Uncle Wiggily stories written by Howard Garis, in which a crafty and kind old rabbit gentleman, given to attacks of rheumatism, lived in Hollow Stump Bungalow with his muskrat housekeeper, Nurse Jane Fuzzy Wuzzy. But her favorite books were probably Winnie the Pooh and The Dairy of Joshua Hempstead. But the books and stories she read both before and after this era were numerous.
