Summary:
'Museum Man' Charles Q. Eldredge, born in Old Mystic, at the age of 72, constructed a private museum filled with thousands of rare items on display. He gave personal tours until his death in 1937. Eldredge wrote several books, "A History of Curios," "Story of a Connecticut Life" and in 1929 "The Autobiography of the Museum Man." When the museum items were dispersed Eva Butler bought his scrapbook which is preserved in Old Mystic's ICRC.
