Summary:
Mystic Seaport, a great maritime museum, was the dream of three men Edward E. Bradlely, Carl C. Cutler and Dr. Charles Kirkland Stillman who established the Marine Historical Association which would become the Mystic Seaport Museum. . Dr. Stillman was somewhat of a character and something of a Renaissance man who gave the first land for the Seaport, Adams Point, the original site of the Greenman shipyard and he was the first managing director of the Seaport.
