Summary:
Ephraim Williams, colored, 64, died at the home of his daughter in Westerly Saturday. Burial in Whitehall Cemetary Mr. Williams was almost a direct decendant of the Pequot Indians. He was born in February 1865, the son of Ephraim and Jane Williams; forty-five years ago he married Sarah Sebastian. He was a member of the first groton baptist church and was a very good speaker. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Sebastian, and three daughters Mrs. Clarence Sebastian of Mystic, Mrs. John Perry, Westerly, and Mrs. Bertha Brown of Newport and two sons, Franklin Williams of Stonington and Joseph Williams of Mystic. He leaves fourteen grandchildren.
