The fate of the Branford House , a historic mansionoverlooking the Thames River located on State property at Avery point, University of Connecticut is still unclear.It was built in 1904 by Morton Plant in the extravagant styleof the mansionsof Newport R.I.. The developer, the Quellen Group of New London. has been waiting as year to have the State sign the contract. and now the company is treatning a law suit against the University if it does not sign.
