Summary:
Kimball remembers depression era foods such as frog legs, cowslips, dandelions, stinging nettles, skoak, marsh marigolds, dandelions and salt pork. She also recalls Pleasant Valley School where Lillian Reid, who was the teacher, janitor, nurse, counselor, disciplinarian, etc., took the class to see the Hindenburg dirigible over Groton in 1937. Kimball also recalls the Navy's dirigible Shenandoah over Thames River.
