Summary:
When summer arrived, open trolleys emerged from the trolley barn, freshly varnished, and the well-used closed cars retired to be painted and refurbished for fall. At the same time the motormen put on their lighter khaki uniforms and put away their woolen blues. Some complained about the breezy rides and the lack of protection from the rain. The open cars were enjoyed for pleasure riding.
